Bermudagrass Round Table

On June 26th, MAAGCS will be hosting a round table type discussion covering all the issues with warm season turfgrass injury from this past winter at the University of Maryland Golf Course. The goal is to share successes and failures with different varieties and discuss the impacts of cultural and agronomic plans. Steve McDonald will be leading the discussion as we concentrate on what happened, what to do now and what are the best practices moving forward to avoid winter injury. Topics of the discussion will include, but are not limited to; varieties, tarps, overseeding, herbicides, shade, paint and traffic.
The event is FREE and open to all members. Club owners and general managers are also welcome to attend. MAAGCS has extended the invitation to the Mid Atlantic Sports Turf Managers (MASTMA) and we hope to have them participate as well. Please stay tuned for a more detailed schedule. It is important to note that only those who register by June 19th will be guaranteed a lunch.
