    Cattail Creek Country Club seeks Golf Course Superintendent in Glenwood, Maryland

    Cattail Creek Country Club is a private, member-owned club situated equidistant to Baltimore, Washington DC and Frederick. Cattail is a family-oriented club that continues to make capital investments in the property, including a $5m+ clubhouse renovation to be completed in 2020. Memberships include golf, social and dining with more than 600 total members.

    Amenities: 18 Hole Championship Golf Course, Indoor Golf Instructional Facility, Short Game Practice Area (SGA), Driving Range, two Putting Greens, Fitness Center, Pool and Baby Pool, Restaurant and Catering, Pool Café, 20,000 square foot Clubhouse, Award-Winning Golf and Tennis Professional Shops.

    The Golf Course was designed and built in 1993 by Willard Byrd and features bentgrass greens, tees and fairways and a mixture of ryegrass and tall fescue rough. The Course is known for its consistent conditioning and a challenging layout.

    Chris Harriman, the current golf course Superintendent, has been with the club for eight years and is responsible for its outstanding course conditions, favorable employee relations and budget stewardship. In March 2019, he will be relocating his family to the Richmond, VA area and has accepted the position of Director of Golf & Grounds with Hermitage Country Club, a 36-hole facility with bentgrass and Bermuda grass courses. Therefore, the position has become available and the interview process will be completed by mid-March.

    Qualified candidates may be invited to have a telephone interview with the search committee chair. Following telephone interviews, approximately five candidates will meet with the search committee, and a select few will be invited back for final interviews – culminating in a candidate selection by mid-March, with a start date of approximately April 1.
