    Educational Requirements: Two year degree in Turf Management or related field of study.

    Experience: Minimum four years in golf course maintenance or assistant. Experienced in chemical and fertilizer applications along with irrigation repair and preventative maintenance. Successful candidate will be required to obtain MD Pest Control Applicator Certificate and MD Department of Agriculture – Professional Fertilizer Applicator Certification within one year.

    Salary Range: $65,000 to $75,000

    Benefits: Club paid health and life insurance, paid annual vacation and personal leave, dues paid for GCSAA and MAAGCS, 401k program, golfing privileges and meals.

    Comments: Next year, Argyle Country Club will be celebrating it’s 75th year at our current location. Our goal is to provide our membership a first class golf facility that includes a healthy turfgrass environment along with a high degree of playability. The course is maintained to a degree in which playability and aesthetics are among the best in the area.

    Argyle strives for the following conditions while maintaining the course at high standards. Provide fast, firm and healthy greens on a daily basis. Maintain the fairways at a level in which they are close cut, firm, healthy and provide good roll to the membership. Provide a level teeing area with the highest quality turf possible. The roughs, trees and hazards are maintained to provide a reasonable penalty for errant shots and to provide important aesthetic definition.

    The overall focus is to ensure that our members and guests enjoy a challenging yet fair golf environment as well as an aesthetically pleasing experience.
