Event Overview
The MAAGCS Annual Championship is one of the year’s premier events, bringing members together for a day of competition, camaraderie, and celebration. The tournament will determine the MAAGCS Champion Golfer of the Year, with players competing across multiple divisions.
In addition to great golf, the Championship offers valuable networking, outstanding food and refreshments, exciting prizes, and plenty of fun with friends and colleagues. Whether you’re chasing the title or simply enjoying the experience, this event promises a memorable day on the course.
Host Club: The Timbers at Troy
The Timbers at Troy Golf Course offers the best of the Maryland countryside. Rolling hills, mature trees, and meandering streams provide the backdrop to a truly enjoyable and challenging golf course, highlighted by spectacular bunkering and bentgrass from tee to green. The layout is a reminder of the beauty of the Greater Baltimore region’s majestic setting. During the winter of 2016-2017, the Timbers underwent a historic renovation that included new, state-of-the-art Billy Bunker sand traps, new irrigation, new cart paths, and clubhouse improvements.

The Annual Championship will kick off in the morning with registration and a specialty cocktail bar. Once everyone is checked in, players will head out for a shotgun start. Following play, the day will conclude with an awards and networking reception, complete with food, drinks, and plenty of time to celebrate with friends and colleagues. Exact times will be announced soon.
