    About Bethesda Country Club:

Nestled in the heart of Bethesda, Maryland, Bethesda Country Club has a storied legacy that dates back to 1913, when it was originally established as Montgomery Country Club. Throughout its history, the club has evolved to reflect the times—serving as the National Women’s Country Club in 1929, a social hub for first ladies and dignitaries, and later as the Washington Aviation Country Club in 1945, known for its distinctive airstrip for private planes. In 1947, the property was acquired by the Bethesda Country Club Corporation, which expanded it into an 18-hole championship course by 1949. The course itself carries the imprint of renowned designers Fred Findlay, Ed Ault, and Arthur Hills, who led a major renovation in 1992. The most recent golf course master plan and renovations were led by Golf Course Architect Joel Weiman. Since 2017, Weiman has overseen the collection of greens, tees, bunkers, fairway expansions, and cart paths, transforming the elegance of Bethesda Country club into an even more unique golfing destination today.
