    Baltimore Country Club is seeking an Equipment Manager to oversee the maintenance and care of its Green & Grounds equipment fleet. Reporting directly to the Director of Agronomy, the Equipment Manager will develop and execute a comprehensive preventive maintenance program, ensuring superior turf equipment performance and the highest quality of cut on the Club’s two championship
    courses.

    The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is detail-oriented, organized, and dependable, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

    Founded on January 12, 1898, Baltimore Country Club is one of the premier private clubs in the United States. With its historic Roland Park roots and the renowned Five Farms campus, the Club has been recognized for its tradition, excellence, and world-class golf.
    • East Course (Five Farms): Designed by A.W. Tillinghast, opened in 1926, and restored in 2015 by Keith Foster to its original design. Ranked among Golfweek’s Top 100 Classic Courses.

    Initial Priorities of the Position
    • Assess Fleet Condition – Inspect all equipment, document condition, service records, and replacement needs.
    • Establish Preventive Maintenance Schedule – Implement/refine structured program with tracking (daily, weekly, seasonal). Train staff on cleaning and basic care.
    • Organize Shop & Inventory – Streamline the facility, audit parts, eliminate redundancies, ensure critical parts are stocked.
    • Build Trust with the Team – Collaborate with Director of Agronomy and assistants; develop relationships with operators through training and safety practices.
    • Set Standard for Quality of Cut – Calibrate mowers, sharpen reels, and ensure consistency across both courses.
    Key Responsibilities
    • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized equipment maintenance facility.
    • Ensure all Green & Grounds equipment is in excellent working order.
    • Conduct daily field checks to confirm proper performance.
    • Manage parts inventory and maintain accurate preventive maintenance records.
    • Train and support staff on safe equipment operation, cleaning, and preventive maintenance.
    • Collaborate with the Agronomy team to achieve superior turf quality and consistent playing conditions.
    Qualifications
    • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
    • Positive attitude with strong work ethic, honesty, and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Mechanical aptitude and prior turf equipment maintenance experience (preferred, not required).
    • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.

    Compensation & Benefits
    • Salary: $125,000 – $135,000
