    Robotics Intern – Kress Golf and Sports Turf

    Kress is an innovative leader in advanced robotic mowing solutions for golf courses and sports turf management across the United States. As a Robotics Intern, you will play an important role in supporting Kress regional dealers with hands-on learning in business development, customer engagement, and robotic mower installation. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain real-world experience in robotics and turf management while contributing to the growing future of autonomous turf care.

    Tasks and Responsibilities

    In this internship, you’ll gain valuable exposure to the business and technical sides of robotic turf management. You’ll collaborate with experienced professionals and apply your academic knowledge to real-world customer environments. Through training and mentorship, you’ll build strong technical, communication, and business development skills.


    Your key responsibilities include:

    ·        Supporting Kress Golf and Sports Turf dealers with business development, customer trials, sales proposals, and robotic mower installations.

    ·        Assisting with after-sales support, troubleshooting, and customer satisfaction follow-ups.

    ·        Participating in product demonstrations and training sessions for clients and internal teams.

    ·        Managing assigned projects and business development targets under the guidance of your regional dealer.

    ·        Preparing reports, maintaining accurate data, and following standardized company reporting processes.

    Required Skills, Knowledge, and Requirements

    During this internship, you will build strong practical skills in robotics, turf management, and customer relations. You will also develop problem-solving abilities and learn to work independently in both indoor office and outdoor in-field environments.  Interns must use their own vehicle, gas, maintenance, and provide their own insurance for assigned activities and be able to transport 1-2 robotic mowers (approximately 60 lbs. each).  Expected territories are within a 90 mile radius of residency or dealer’s locations.

    Candidates should demonstrate the following:

    ·        Currently enrolled in a Turf Science, Agronomy, or Golf Course Management program (preferably 2nd year or above).

    ·        Strong interest in robotics, sustainability, and turf technology.

    ·        Ability to lift and transport robotic mowers weighing up to 60 pounds.

    ·        Comfortable working outdoors in varied weather conditions and managing time efficiently.

    ·        Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive attitude toward learning.

    Internship Compensation:

    ·        Completion of Training and Certification: $200.00 upon completion of training and certification

    ·        Installation of Trial Mower: $200 per course or facility where trial mower is installed and registered as a trial

    ·        Installation and training of Sold Mower(s): $200 per mower installed permanently at a course or facility with time spent training course maintenance personnel on app, operations, scheduling.

    ·        Referral Leading to Mower Trial: $100 per referral

    ·        Completion of Weekly Activity Report: $50 if 2 or more trials, installations or meetings completed

    ·        Sales Target Achievements: $100 per assigned quarterly KPI achievement

    ·        Social Media Post: $25 per post if preapproved by Kress

    ·        Semi-Annual Report On Learnings and Perspectives: $250 presented to faculty advisor, sponsoring dealer, and Kress per presentation
