    Woodholme Country Club in Pikesville, Maryland, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Full-Time Equipment Manager! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused environment. Woodholme is investing in a new irrigation system, has a 10-year equipment plan with upgrades to walk mowers, fairway and rough units, as well as sprayers and robotics.  As a manager, you will be supporting the golf maintenance operation and an integral part of the equipment fleet maintenance.

    Ideal candidates are team-oriented and analytical problem solvers. They have extensive knowledge of the care and operation of internal combustion engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and the maintenance of mowing and grounds equipment.

    Salary Range: $95,000-$110,000

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • ·        Maintain overall responsibility for the golf course equipment fleet, including mowers, utility vehicles, tractors, loaders, trailers, small engines, and other essential club vehicles.
    • ·        Proactively monitor equipment condition and identify potential mechanical problems before they result in equipment failure.
    • ·        Develop and maintain a comprehensive preventive maintenance schedule based on manufacturer recommendations, hours of operation, seasonal demands, and equipment condition.
    • ·        Ensure equipment is properly prepared for daily use, seasonal changes, tournaments, special events, and periods of increased maintenance demand.
    • ·        Maintain an organized fleet and ensure equipment is stored, cleaned, fueled, lubricated, and ready for operation.
    • ·        Establish priorities for equipment repairs and maintenance based on operational needs and equipment reliability.
    • Demonstrates knowledge of the theory, care, and operation of internal combustion engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and mowing equipment maintenance (including grinding, sharpening, and adjustment).
    • Follows sound purchasing procedures in conjunction with the Golf Course Superintendent.  Helps control costs and expenses related to equipment fleet maintenance, including parts purchases, inventory levels, service work, fuel inventories, and related items.
    • Aids in the ongoing training and coaching of staff.
    • Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
    • Performs other duties as required.zz

    Education and Experience Requirements:

    • Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience (degree preference in diesel mechanics, auto mechanics, or small engines)
    • Experience in a golf course maintenance operation preferred but not required.

    Working Conditions:

    • Frequently uses hands
    • Regularly stands, walks, sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, and crawls
    • Frequently lifts, moves, and carries up to 50 pounds; may push or pull up to 100 pounds
    • Works near moving mechanical parts, sharp objects, fumes, and/or airborne particles
    • Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions
    • Noise level is moderate
